Diabetes Simplified

Diabetes Simplified is a continuing medical education (CME) program focused on practical interpretations of the Diabetes Canada Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG). Our 2024 program features topics from the 2023 Clinical Practice Guidelines update, along with Diabetes Every Day: a case-based review of select topics seen frequently in clinical practice.

This Group Learning program has been reviewed and accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the CFPC National Office for up to 8.50 Mainpro+ credits.

Overall learning objectives:

  • Describe when and how to help people living with type 2 diabetes attain diabetes remission.
  • Apply recently published guidelines and pharmacotherapy evidence to managing patients living with type 2 diabetes.
  • Describe the guideline recommendations for the management of mental health disorders and diabetes.
  • Manage common diabetes patient case scenarios seen commonly in clinical practice.
